Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in various clinical settings, including primary care, urgent care, and hospital environments. The Physician Assistant will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients while ensuring adherence to best practices and standards of care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical histories.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans based on clinical findings.
- Administer medications, injections, and IV infusions as needed.
- Manage acute pain and provide hospice & palliative medicine services.
- Assist in surgical procedures and provide post-operative care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in critical care settings, including ICU and Level I/II trauma centers.
- Utilize EMR systems like Epic and Cerner for accurate documentation of patient records.
- Participate in clinical research and data collection initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Skills
- Proficient in ICD-9, ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, and medical terminology.
- Experience with triage, patient care management, and acute care protocols.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and outpatient services.
- Strong background in emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, internal medicine, and occupational health.
- Ability to perform suturing, phlebotomy, airway management, cardiac catheterization, and other clinical procedures.
- Experience in managing ventilators (including neonatal ventilators) and conducting diagnostic imaging assessments.
- Understanding of public health principles and addiction counseling strategies.
