Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in Nephrology Clinic and Dialysis. This role requires a strong foundation in clinical skills, patient assessment, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients, and managing patient care plans.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations and vital signs.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans based on clinical findings.
- Administer medications and injections as necessary while adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage acute pain through appropriate interventions and treatments.
- Provide triage services in emergency situations, ensuring timely care for patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in various settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, and urgent care facilities.
- Maintain accurate medical records using EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner and Eclinical Works.
- Educate patients on health management, disease prevention, and treatment options.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or related field.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or hospital settings preferred.
- Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding for accurate medical documentation.
- Familiarity with telehealth practices is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
