Requirements:
- Active California license
- BLS/ACLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care services in accordance with legal, ethical, and institutional standards.
- Administer medications as prescribed; by mouth, intravenously, intradermally, subcutaneously, or intramuscularly.
- Perform history and physicals.
- Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services for inmates.
- Take medical histories, examine patients, and order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays.
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Perform duties within scope of licensure.
- Additional duties as assigned by facility.
