We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry Clerk to support our allied health operations by accurately entering, updating, and maintaining critical health-related data. The ideal candidate has experience with medical or administrative data systems and understands the importance of data integrity and confidentiality in a healthcare setting.
This is a remote position ideal for someone who is self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter and update patient, billing, scheduling, or clinical information into electronic health record (EHR) systems or databases
- Review source documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Correct errors and verify data integrity
- Maintain secure, organized digital records
- Work closely with medical staff, therapists, or billing teams to ensure data flow is accurate and timely
- Perform audits of entered data as needed
- Handle sensitive and confidential information in compliance with HIPAA and company policies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
- Previous experience in data entry, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting
- Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g. Epic, Cerner, Kareo, or similar) a plus
- Strong typing skills (minimum 50 WPM recommended)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Basic understanding of medical terminology is a plus
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and data entry tools
