Alice Hyde Medical Center (AHMC) is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Occupational Health & Wellness team. This is a unique opportunity to provide meaningful care and contribute to the well-being of our workforce and community through occupational medicine!
Position Overview
In this role, you'll work closely with a collaborative team to assess, diagnose, and treat adult patients (18+) for occupational illnesses and injuries. You will also conduct pre-placement and regulatory physicals, including DOT, Asbestos, and Haz-Mat evaluations, in accordance with hospital policies and federal/state guidelines.
Additionally, you will support AHMC employees by addressing acute physical conditions as directed by our Occupational Health clinicians.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care within the Occupational Health setting
- Conduct physicals including DOT, Haz-Mat, and Asbestos evaluations
- Support the health and safety of AHMC employees through timely assessments and treatments
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, EEOC, and other relevant regulations
- Stay current in the field through continuing education and training opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Licensed or license-eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in New York State
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Prescription privileges required
- 3+ years of experience in Occupational Health preferred
- Experience with DOT/CDL physicals and occupational health regulations
- NYS DOT CDL Provider Certification (required within 60 days of hire).
- Knowledge of ADA, EEOC, OSHA, and NYS/Federal occupational health regulations preferred
- Continuing Education in Occupational & Environmental Medicine is a plus
Compensation & Schedule
- Salaried Position
- $59.27 - $83.19/hr.
