We are hiring a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join an Inpatient Internal Medicine team in New York. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary care team to manage hospitalized patients with diverse acute and chronic conditions. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical skills, a proactive approach to patient care, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, formulate diagnoses, and initiate treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging)
- Prescribe medications and perform minor procedures as credentialed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members to coordinate care
- Participate in daily rounds and discharge planning
- Document accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality, patient-centered care
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited PA program (Master’s preferred)
- NCCPA certification
- Active, unrestricted PA license in New York State
- DEA registration
- 1–2 years of experience in an inpatient or hospitalist medicine setting
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and EHR proficiency
