Physician Assistant
Alabama Vein & Restoration Medspa is a busy medical/surgical practice seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) for its outpatient surgery center and clinic. We focus on the treatment of venous insufficiency including varicose veins, DVT, ulcers, and spider veins. Our main office is located in Hoover with satellite offices located in Anniston and Tuscaloosa. No call or weekends required.
We’re seeking a compassionate Physician Assistant with a desire to help and learn, be a leader, and provide comprehensive patient care.
As a Clinician, you’ll work autonomously with our physician nearby. You will assess, diagnose, and manage various aspects of patient care, develop tailored treatment plans, and perform some procedures. Primary duties include vein clinic support of pre/post op patient evaluations, sclerotherapy injections, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, and weight loss programs. Clinic schedule is 3.5 days per week with 1 day dedicated to assisting in OR procedures. Travel to satellite clinics 2 days per month.
Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Conducts physical exams, assesses health status, order and interprets tests, prescribes medications, treats illnesses, and administers injections. Consults with physician as needed and refers to physicians for more complicated medical cases or cases that are not a routine part of a PA’s scope of work
· Assist with minimally invasive procedures in outpatient surgical setting
· Performs sclerotherapy, hormone clinic management, weight loss clinic management
· Ability to complete office dictation and utilize EMR to document patient information
· Accurately codes and documents all patient encounters the day of the encounter
· Running a clinic with ability to treat patients in an independent clinic setting
· Pre and Post H&Ps
· Return patient phone calls and provide patient education
· Works to ensure a smooth workflow for the physician in the clinic, surgery, and in managing clinical staff
· Is the first line of inquiry for clinical concerns/questions from staff on clinical issues
· Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested
· Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliation
Education & Experience:
· Graduate of an accredited PA program
· Maintains current state licensure and yearly CME requirements.
· Experience in a surgical and clinical setting with the ability to manage independent clinic schedule preferred. Experience with injectables a plus
· Strong communication and collaboration skills

Pay: $92,692.82 - $111,630.06 per year
