Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Surgery to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of experienced surgeons to provide surgical care to patients. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist in preoperative assessments and evaluations of patients scheduled for surgery.
2. Participate in surgical procedures, including assisting the surgeon, suturing wounds, and monitoring patient vital signs.
3. Provide postoperative care, including monitoring patients in recovery, changing dressings, and providing patient education.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for surgical patients.
5. Perform minor surgical procedures under the supervision of a licensed surgeon.
6. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.
7. Stay up-to-date on the latest advances in surgical techniques and treatments.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
2. Current certification as a Physician Assistant.
3. Previous experience in a surgical setting is preferred.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
6. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
7. Current CPR certification.
8. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
